Join MPLS PHOTO COOP Director and Photograher
Orin Rutchick and Chris Welsch, Star Tribune Senior Travel Writer, in the new and expanded galleries of the MPLS PHOTO COOP, from June 13th through August 31
for an exhibit with sights and sounds from Elvis
Presley's Graceland. This preview exhibit of their soon to be completed documentary is in support of the their collaborative work, The Wall-to-Wall Project.

The Wall-to-Wall Project begins with a simple
contention: Pilgrims — whether they are Jews
traveling to the Western Wall, or Elvis fans going to
Graceland — share a profound link through their
devotion and their choice to express that devotion
through a journey.

For the past year, Rutchick and Welsch have been
gathering a visual and verbal exploration of modern
pilgrimage at the Western Wall in Jerusalem and at
the wall of Graceland in Memphis. The evening’s
exhibit and readings are a benefit and fundraiser
for the artists to complete their documentation
by traveling to Jerusalem in September 2008.
